After being felled by a mysterious back ailment, Gov. Kristi Noem has returned to the campaign trail. She debated her two opponents, Democrat Jamie Smith and Libertarian Tracey Quint, Sept. 30 in Rapid City.

Next, Noem was scheduled to campaign for Arizona Republican Kari Lake, who is also running for governor. Like Noem, Lake is a loyalist to the former Trump administration.

Smith used his Twitter account to criticize Noem for the decision. Lake then attacked Smith on Twitter, and the social media platform continued to deliver its low level of intellectual dialogue.
