Next year, the Declaration of Independence turns 250! Everyone knows that’s why July 4 is America’s birthday.

But the Revolution didn’t just happen on one day in 1776. In fact, 2025 has already seen the 250th anniversaries of Lexington and Concord, as well as Bunker Hill. And don’t forget that we just celebrated the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army (huah!).

That’s why this year’s Fourth of July quiz focuses on the “long train of abuses and usurpations” that made the Revolutionary War inevitable. And lest we be accused of Brit-bashing, we take note of those in Mother England, including Members of Parliament, who thought the rebels made a good case.
