Summit Carbon Solutions suspends permit application for South Dakota pipeline route
Carbon transmission line in doubt after lawmakers bar its use of eminent domain
The Iowa-based carbon sequestration company behind plans to construct carbon pipeline through South Dakota has suspended its permit application for the project.
Attorneys representing Summit Carbon Solutions on Wednesday filed a petition with the South Dakota Public Utilities Commission to indefinitely extend a deadline regulators faced to decide on granting or rejecting Summit Carbon Solutions’ request to construct its pipeline through more than 20 South Dakota counties.
