Sturgis hospital ready for the 85th motorcycle rally
Years of planning and collaboration equip Sturgis, South Dakota, hospital to handle influx of patients, staff say
STURGIS, S.D. — Nearly half a million people are ready to descend on the Black Hills, and at the epicenter of it all, staff at Monument Health Sturgis Hospital in Sturgis say they're ready for any issues that might arise.
The biggest challenge planners face is anticipating the number of people who come to the area for the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, taking place this year from Friday, Aug. 1 to Aug. 10.
