An Aberdeen man has earned one of the highest honors within the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps.

Brent Rohlfs was recognized for his promotion from captain to rear admiral lower half during a ceremony at the Dakota Event Center this month.

He has dedicated more than 28 years to the Indian Health Service, holding numerous leadership roles that reflect his lifelong commitment to service, education, health care and engineering, according to the Public Health Service.
