For South Dakota Mines student-athlete Jameson Mallon-Echols, being a Hardrocker is more than what happens on the football field.
That became clear June 11, when Mallon-Echols was driving to a friend’s house in Houston and saw a car traveling in the opposite direction lose control, cross the median and crash.
The junior mechanical engineering major from Houston, Texas, pulled his car over, called 911 and ran toward the wreck.
