South Dakota joins Trump-backed ‘school choice’ tax credit program
Gov. Rhoden opts state into 'Big Beautiful Bill' initiative aimed at bolstering alternative education funding
South Dakotans will be able to turn a chunk of their federal tax payments into education funding.
That’s according to Gov. Larry Rhoden’s office, which announced Friday that the state will participate in a “school choice” initiative included in a federal funding measure passed earlier this year dubbed the “Big Beautiful Bill.”
