Shrek Rave!

Friday, June 2 • 9-11 p.m..

What exactly is a Shrek-themed rave? We think costumes are involved. To find out, head to The District on Friday.

First Friday

8th & Railroad Center, 401 E. 8th Street, Sioux Falls

On the First Friday of the month, June through September, DTSF treats you to the ultimate block party experience. These events are located on the Eastbank of downtown Sioux Falls.

Sertoma Shine and Show

Saturday, June 3 • 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
Lake Lorraine, 2400 S. Lorraine Pl. Sioux Falls

The 3rd Annual Sertoma Shine and Show car show has a new location for 2023 — Lake Lorraine. Come out to the CarsForSale.com parking lot for the event. The Shine and Show is free to attend and show. Freewill donations will be accepted to raise funds for the All Abilities Playground Equipment. Proceeds and donations directly benefit the Sioux Falls Noon Sertoma charity.

The Shine and Show features food trucks SDSU Ice Cream, Backyard BBQ, Sisouvanh Egg Rolls, and Minnehaha Sertoma selling water and soda. Read more about the event.

Siouxland Renaissance Festival

Saturday-Sunday, June 3-4
W. H. Lyon Fairgrounds, 100 N. Lyon Blvd. Sioux Falls

Come one, come all good lords and ladies, merchants, yeomen, players, musicians, and peasants. Let us present to you the Siouxland Renaissance Festival! Travel back in time to the glorious reign of Queen Elizabeth I. See the sights, hear the sounds, and taste the food. Learn what it was like to live over 400 years ago as you take part in our historically flavored festival. Tickets at the gate: $15 for adults (13-64) $6 for seniors (65+) and children (4-12). Free for children 3 years old or younger.

High Tunnel Field Day

Monday, June 5 • 4-7 p.m.
Waldner Farms, 522 E. First Ave., Webster

SDSU Extension is hosting a High Tunnel Field Day event including a tour of a northeastern South Dakota farm. Kristine Land and Rhoda Burrows, horticulture specialists with the SDSU Extension, will host the event at Waldner Farms. The event is for current and beginning farmers, gardeners and anyone who would like to learn more about high tunnels.
