South Dakota’s Department of Corrections (DOC) has sent a crew of offenders and staff to assist in clean-up efforts following the devastation caused by a powerful storm that hit Hudson earlier this week.

Secretary of Corrections Kellie Wasko authorized the support, which was made available after a request from local officials. The DOC's involvement comes just a day after Gov. Larry Rhoden visited Hudson to survey the damage and express support for the community.
