South Dakota law enforcement is mourning the death of a state detective who died on duty last week.

The South Dakota Attorney General's Office announced the passing of Division of Criminal Investigation Special Agent Quincy Kjerstad, who died Sept. 14 after suffering a medical event while on duty Sept. 11.
