South Dakota College Democrats: We stand with Palestine campus protestors
Organization planning Israel protest in state
South Dakota could soon be joining the list of states where pro-Palestine protesters are demonstrating on college campuses.
South Dakota College Democrats, a student organization affiliated with the state’s Democratic Party, has planted a flag to “support the right of students and other activists” to protest against Israel, with leaders telling The Dakota Scout that a demonstration on university campuses here in the works.
“Our hearts go out to the Palestinians suffering from violence and injustice, but we also know that Israelis and Jewish citizens are caught in a difficult situation too,” according to a statement issued by the organization Wednesday. “We want to see an end to the conflict, and we hope for a future where everyone can live without fear.”
