Game, Fish & Parks reports strong pheasant hunting numbers in first days of 2025 season
South Dakota’s slow-moving fall harvest is helping hunters find plenty of pheasants in the field in the early days of the new hunting season.
According to the South Dakota Game, Fish & Parks Department, hunters are reporting an abundance of birds on the landscape. And despite windy conditions since the season opener last Saturday making hunting more challenging, early results have been “extremely promising.”
