What started as a basement gathering of comic book readers is now one of Sioux Falls’ largest draws.

And it’s not just about the comics anymore.

In its 10th year, the annual SiouxperCon held at the Sioux Falls Convention Center each September has grown to attract more than 11,000 attendees who pump an estimated $1.25 million into the area economy. South Dakota’s highest-profile pop culture festival returns next weekend — touting its busiest bill of celebrity guests, panels and vendors yet.
