Sioux Falls City Councilors rejected four more applications for video lottery locations within city limits this week.

The aspiring video lottery businesses included one request for Corner Pantry on North West Avenue and three for 777 Casino on South Minnesota Avenue. The businesses’ plans were thwarted after the Council last month capped the number of malt beverage licenses with video lottery eligibility.

“I’m going to vote no and encourage the councilors to vote no on this because we have reached our cap of video lottery licensures with retail malt beverage,” Council Member Greg Neitzert said during Tuesday night’s meeting at Carnegie Town Hall in downtown Sioux Falls.
