Sioux Falls voters will choose between three candidates in the city’s lone city-wide contest for City Council this spring.

Richard Thomason, Jordan Deffenbaugh and Allison Renville are jockeying for a four-year term behind the dais at Carnegie Town Hall, aiming to fill the seat of outgoing Councilor Alex Jensen.

The Dakota Scout sent a series of questions to every candidate who qualified for the April 9 ballot, where four Sioux Falls City Council spots and two positions on the Sioux Falls School Board are are up for grabs.

Candidates were asked to limit their responses to each question to 100 words. Their responses are listed in the order they appear on the ballot.

Responses from three candidates in the city’s Northeast District contest, two soon-to-be councilors who were unopposed in the Southwest and Northwest Districts and five Sioux Falls School Board hopefuls will publish next week.
