Sioux Falls Airport expansion faces funding questions, board considers delays
The Airport Authority on Tuesday asked for updated cost estimates before making a final decision

Sioux Falls Regional Airport officials are poised to move ahead on a major expansion of the terminal, intended to increase capacity with the hope of adding more options for travelers.
But continued political and economic uncertainty have added to the normal jitters about committing the airport to potentially $108 million in construction to grow the footprint, add gates and improve amenities.
Not the least of which is the ongoing retraction in federal government spending, which cast concern over discussions about the plans during a meeting of the Airport Authority Board on Tuesday.
