A mission tracing back more than a century, with roots in redemption and resilience, continues to shape Sioux Falls, its past reflecting both personal transformation and a long-standing commitment to serving those in need.
And the Union Gospel Mission’s role in providing food, shelter and clothing to the community’s most vulnerable began to expand when a five-year, $5 million renovation of a nearly century-old downtown warehouse kicked off 25 years ago this week, according to the April 2, 2001, edition of the Argus Leader.
