State basketball tourneys might not be happening in Sioux Falls for the first time in decades this year, but South Dakota’s hardwood traditions remain on display across the map this weekend.

And with the high school hoopsters competing to make history again this weekend, The Dakota Scout’s Scouting Yesterday is taking a look back at how South Dakotans have been battling for bragging rights on the basketball court each spring for more than a century.
