A retired Watertown teacher who successfully navigated the gauntlet of reviews and applications to compete on the “Wheel of Fortune” game show saw her luck run out when it was time to spin the iconic wheel.

Suzy Steinmetz hit the dreaded “Bankrupt” category. Not once. Not twice. But three times, reports The Watertown Current.

A 42-year educator at St. Martin’s School, Steinmetz was a longtime fan of the show. She enjoyed watching with her grandchildren, one of whom suggested she should try to get on the long-running program as a contestant.
