The story of two Aberdeen men cited for poaching set off debate on a Game, Fish & Parks Facebook page devoted specifically to poachers. It’s called TIPs — short for Turn in Poachers.
In this case, GFP received a tip that two men were exceeding the daily limit while fishing for bluegill on Roy Lake, southeast of Britton in Marshall County. GFP officers showed up and, sure enough, the men had hauled out 62 bluegill, double the daily limit. The limit is 15 bluegill per person, with a possession limit of 30.
