Grapes have a variety of uses – from making jams to making wine – but now researchers at South Dakota State University think they’ve found a use for grapevines.
They’ve made a substance more durable than single-use plastic used in grocery bags. Plastics litter the world, including its oceans, and plastic shopping bags have proven to be an environmental nuisance, getting stuck in trees and blowing around the landscape. They take hundreds of years to biodegrade.
