So . . . at the risk of stereotyping a certain population group, we start with motorcyclists. Let’s be honest: We’ve seen the pictures from the Sturgis Rally – the parties, the risqué clothing, the good times. Secretly, many of us non-bikers wish we were there.

We have been treated for decades to stories about motorcycle gangs and their drug running. Hunter S. Thompson’s book “Hells Angels” is a classic of American long-form journalism.

But bikers of a different sort made the rounds through state capital cities this month: They were agents with the Drug Enforcement Agency.
