Well, it’s a sign of the times we live in, I suppose.

Barely a week had passed since the controversy erupted over Gov. Kristi Noem’s account of shooting her hunting dog when a song emerged on YouTube about the incident. Now, a real-life music critic, of which this writer is not, would likely describe the song as “hilarious.”

“The Ballad of Cricket Noem” is a country music tune and short, clocking in at just under 2 minutes. It tells the story of an overeager dog that wanted to chase pheasants.
