HBO Max announced an immediate increase of $1 per month in the no-ads subscription price, taking the basic price to $15.99. The increase comes as Warner Bros. Discovery, formed by Discovery’s 2022 acquisition of WarnerMedia, has made a series of cutbacks in staffing and content creation aimed at reducing expenses. The subscription price had not changed since the service was started in 2020 by the then AT&T owned WarnerMedia.
