T. Denny Sanford donation marks major expansion into western South Dakota

Sanford Health’s yearn for westward expansion took a major leap Monday, with the state’s largest health care system announcing plans to open a new medical campus in Rapid City.

The move comes through a $300 million donation from the health care system’s namesake, billionaire banker and philanthropist T. Denny Sanford, Sanford President and CEO Bill Gassen announced.
