Planning commission-approved plan stipulates setback distances, buffers surrounding server farm
A planned data center in eastern Sioux Falls took a major step forward this week.
Sioux Falls City Councilors on Tuesday gave their preliminary blessing to a proposed rezone request from Gemini Capital, a California-based developer readying to build a large-scale data center — warehouse-like structures that house high capacity-computing server farms — along Rice Street between Veterans Parkway and Six Mile Road.
