Rep. Dusty Johnson: Trump ‘lit up’ when talking about Noem nomination
House Republican majority also topic in meeting with president-elect
Rep. Dusty Johnson was among a group of GOP House members who met with President-elect Donald Trump last week, where they discussed Trump’s cabinet picks among other topics.
Johnson said he spoke personally to Trump about his nomination of Gov. Kristi Noem to be the next Department of Homeland Security secretary. Johnson said Trump was “very excited” about having her in the post.
“He believes that she is the right person for this job at this time,” Johnson told The Dakota Scout. “He lit up when he talked about the nomination more than he lit up when we talked about anything else.”
