Price tag for new clubhouse at Sioux Falls golf course balloons

Bids for work at Elmwood Golf Course nearly 50 percent higher than expected

Replacing a city-owned golf course clubhouse in northwest Sioux Falls will cost taxpayers a couple million more dollars than anticipated.

But before City Councilors sign off on a $6.2 million overhaul of facilities at Elmwood Golf Course, they want answers about why estimated costs to get the project done are nearly 50 percent more than what had been budgeted.
