Don’t expect to see the rest of South Dakota’s congressional delegation getting involved in presidential politics.

Both Sen. Mike Rounds and Rep. Dusty Johnson confirmed to The Dakota Scout that they wouldn’t be making any endorsements in the Republican race for the presidency in the foreseeable future, despite Donald Trump becoming the presumptive nominee and his support from Sen. John Thune and Gov. Kristi Noem.

NEWS: Wells Fargo’s exodus from South Dakota continues

“Dusty has no plans of endorsing a presidential candidate,” a spokeswoman from the congressman’s office said.

Late last week, Thune said he will be supporting Trump after his victory in South Carolina’s primary. Trump’s only remaining challenger for the GOP nomination is former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley.

Both Rounds and Thune had previously endorsed South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott — one of several former candidates who has since thrown their support behind the former president.
