PIERRE, S.D. – County, state and military prosecutors from across South Dakota this week had their first chance in four years to use one another and public safety experts to brush up on best practices in the criminal justice profession.

Attorney General Mark Vargo and his staff, along with state’s attorneys and county prosecutors from more than 20 South Dakota counties, judge advocate generals and members of the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office, spent Tuesday and Wednesday at the George S. Mickelson Criminal Justice Center for the 2022 Joint Attorney General’s Office-State’s Attorney Training Conference.
