Fears over data centers — technology’s expanding grip on humanity to electricity demands and quality-of-life concerns from future neighbors — were under a white-hot spotlight Tuesday in downtown Sioux Falls. But it wasn’t enough to block a zoning change needed for a developer to move ahead with what would be the city’s first hyperscale data center.
