Petition drive to keep Brockhouse taxidermy collection in Sioux Falls fails
20-day referendum period ends with group thousands of signatures short
A citywide vote to decide the fate of a collection of rare taxidermy mounts slated to be shipped out of state won’t happen.
Concerned Citizens for Sioux Falls has come up thousands of signatures short in its attempt to refer a decision by the City Council to offload more than 100 specimens known as the Brockhouse Collection that had been on display at the Great Plains Zoo and Delbridge Museum for decades.
