Sioux Falls, SD ~ Patricia “Patty” Rae Brandt, age 66, went to her heavenly home from her earthly home on Sunday, February 2, 2025, peacefully surrounded by her family. A memorial service celebrating her life will be 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Hope Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls, SD. Her family will be present to greet friends for visitation on Saturday at the church beginning at 10:00 AM.
Patty was born on April 30, 1958, in Sioux Falls, SD. A life-long resident of Sioux Falls, Patty was raised by her grandmother, Inga Stokke.
Patty was united in marriage with Wendell Brandt in Sioux Falls, SD. From this union, Patty was blessed with two beautiful children, Nathan and Lindsey.
Patty worked at D.J. Dinsmore Company, many years at Hutchinson Technology, and then Raven Industries before her retirement due to ill-health.
On June 20, 1998, Patty found her “MoJo” (Mary Jo “Mojo” Culhane, to be exact) and would spend the next 27 years hand-in-hand. The couple enjoyed camping at a campground, spending time in their backyard, spoiling their grandchildren/nieces/nephews, and caring for their many dogs. Patty also enjoyed cheering for the Dallas Cowboys and making her home a welcoming place for all. Above all, Patty loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be deeply missed.
Left to cherish her memory is her wife, Mary Jo “Mojo” Culhane, Sioux Falls, SD; two children, Nathan (Priscilla) Brandt, Sioux Falls, SD and Lindsey (Mat) Schoffelman, Parker, SD; grandchildren, Jack Anderson, Mackenzie Anderson, Natalie Schoffelman, Jacob Schoffelman, Gabriella Brandt, Noah Brandt, Brody Hantz, and Corbin Hantz; two siblings, Pam Ganser and Mark Van Meveren; her uncle, Duane Stokke; father of her children, Wendell Brandt; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and her Wheaten Terrier, Finn.
She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Inga Stokke and her mother, Mae Van Meveren.
