Nonprofits ask Lincoln County for support amid rising needs

The Link, Southeastern Behavioral Health, and LifeScape presented 2026 funding requests to the Lincoln County Commission Tuesday morning as demand for services outpaces local tax revenues.
The Link, a behavioral health triage and sobering center in Sioux Falls, requested $30,000 from Lincoln County for 2026.
Southeastern Behavioral Health, the region’s designated community mental health provider, requested $65,161 under South Dakota’s per capita funding statute and LifeScape requested $55,000 to support services for children and adults with developmental disabilities.
