Noem's chief of staff submits resignation
Mark Miller will leave as governor's longest serving chief of staff
Gov. Kristi Noem has a cabinet shakeup on her hands that includes the departure of her longest serving chief of staff.
The governor’s Chief of Staff, Mark Miller, Tuesday morning alerted Noem's top staffers and department heads that he's leaving his post next month to return to Florida after taking a job for a nonprofit.
"It is with mixed emotions that I share the news that yesterday, after three years in South Dakota, I accepted a new position in the nonprofit sector that will allow me to return to Florida," Miller wrote in an email obtained by The Dakota Scout.
