Noem has new cabinet head after year without chief of staff
Governor makes Darin Seeley her first ‘chief operations officer’
PIERRE — Gov. Kristi Noem has elevated a cabinet secretary to oversee her office’s day-to day-operations, but she’s not calling it a chief of staff.
Bureau of Human Resources and Administration Commissioner Darrin Seeley is the new chief of operations in the Governor’s Office, according to publicly listed state records.
Ian Fury, Noem’s spokesman, did not respond to multiple requests for comment about the change.
