Nearly 1,000 low-income families with kids in Sioux Falls’ public education system could soon lose access to reduced-price school lunches.

The Sioux Falls School District is sounding the alarm about a fast-approaching deadline for families to continue receiving discounted or free meals at school, revealing Tuesday that hundreds of students who are entitled to the aid have not enrolled.
