Jackrabbits head coach John Stiegelmeier likens lawmaking to football
PIERRE — The South Dakota State University Jackrabbits football team Wednesday received a legislative commemoration for their recent NCAA National Championship.
“BE IT COMMEMORATED, by the Ninety-Eighth Legislature of the State of South Dakota, that Coach John Stiegelmeier and the South Dakota State University Jackrabbit football team displayed exemplary teamwork, leadership, and commitment in winning the NCAA Division I FCS National Championship. GO BIG! GO BLUE! GO JACKS!” reads Senate Commemoration 802, read on the Senate floor with the team in attendance at the Capitol.
