Mount Rushmore to remain open amid federal shutdown

Governor's Office says National Park Service to keep complex open on limited basis

The Mount Rushmore National Memorial will remain open to visitors even if the federal government doesn’t have a budget to continue operating, according to the South Dakota Tourism Department.
