More than 40 South Dakota lawmakers awarded for anti-cannabis stances
Protecting South Dakota Kids continues to lobby against marijuana reforms following defeat of recreational cannabis measure in 2022
More than a third of the South Dakota Legislature earned praise this week from the state’s anti-cannabis industry for routinely voting against looser marijuana reforms.
Protecting South Dakota Kids, a special interest group that led the charge against a 2022 recreational marijuana ballot initiative and maintained a lobbying presence during the 2023 Legislative Session, presented 43 state lawmakers with commemorations at the State Capitol Monday for their “commitment to protecting South Dakota Kids.”
