An academic at a tribal school on the Rosebud Indian Reservation is accused of falsely claiming Indigenous heritage.
Tribal Alliance Against Frauds issued a report this month on Erica J. Moore, who has been president of Sinte Gleska University in western South Dakota since 2024, finding her lineage is rooted in Europe, with no evidence of Native American ancestry.
