Attendees urge commissioners to continue offering accessible hours as they tackle key issues
Lincoln County’s first evening commission meeting in years drew a full house Tuesday night, with residents praising the board for making local government more accessible.
The commission is experimenting with one evening meeting a month with the goal of increasing public participation.
The main focus was public input on the state’s prison proposals for Lincoln County, but commissioners also acted on a range of issues, including new office space for the sheriff, a major justice center change order and community recognitions.
