Lincoln County commissioners voted 5-0 Tuesday to give owner-occupied homes a 68 percent credit against county property taxes payable in 2027.

The credit applies to 2026 taxes paid next year, using anticipated revenue from the county’s new half-cent sales tax, which starts Jan. 1. It covers county levies, including applicable debt payments. School, city and other districts’ levies remain unchanged by this credit.
