LETTER | It was like reading Mad Magazine
I’d like to congratulate Lanny Stricherz for writing a letter to the editor that was just like the old Mad Magazine and National Lampoon’s satires that were so obviously inane. I got a good belly laugh.
To be fair, Mr. Stricherz may be a conservative who just wanted to display the ridiculousness of the woke attitude. On the other hand, he may have been sincere. How sadly tragic if that is true.
Much like Bart Simpson, every VIEWPOINT was essentially wrong. He listened to mainstream media and bought it – hook, line and sinker. The bottom-line here is the difference between being subjective or objective. That kind of analysis is tragically missing in journalism today. There are many ways of lying. I will list a few:
Not telling all the truth.
Making the issue emotional, only.
Wording the report from one view.
Forgetting the premises.
Choosing your own “experts.”
This is rampant nowadays, and not only from the left. Playing to your audience sells a lot of ad space.

Lanny got J6 completely wrong! If he’s a Conservative, he should know better than to eat from the poisoned fruit of Lame Stream Media! The “facts” he used were already proven wrong! He is helping to allow the rest of the country to despise and condemn Americans that were there to defend our rights! Do you know that 4 people died that day and all of them were unarmed citizens? Do you know over 300 are being held, without a trial in solitary confinement since 2021? Do you know over 4 of these prisoners have committed suicide because they are looking at 7-20 years in prison for nothing close to what happened during the Summer of Love?! This is Political Violence against people on the opposite side! This should frighten everyone one of us!
