Congress passed the “Big, Beautiful, Bill,” an enormous spending bill that outlines the federal government’s priorities. Rep. Dusty Johnson appears to be caving to outside corporate interests.

For months leading up to the votes, people from all over the state asked Johnson to oppose 45Q tax credits for carbon capture projects. These subsidies, costing taxpayers billions, are the only reason CO2 pipeline projects like Summit’s exist.
