LETTER | Cemetery's lack of upkeep 'embarrassing' and 'disgusting'

I am on the American Legion Post 15 Honor Guard, and we had the honor of doing a funeral at Mount Pleasant Cemetery on July 11.
The entire cemetery is in complete disarray. It was embarrassing, not to mention disgusting, to see grass and weeds inches to feet high – virtually no trimming has been done in a while and most graves are hard to see, let alone get to. The burial site had a huge pile of dirt with no tarp.
