Leland “Lee” H. Palmer, 54, of Houston, TX, formerly of Dell Rapids, SD, passed away on March 30, 2026 in Houston. His Memorial Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2026 in St. Mary Catholic Church, Dell Rapids. Visitation will be one-hour prior to the start of mass. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
Leland H. Palmer was born in Mankato, Minnesota, to Terrence Palmer and the late Margaret Pfeffer. He is survived by his father, Terrence Palmer; his siblings, Jennifer Palmer and Alexander Palmer; and his beloved children, Nicholas, Samuel, and William Palmer.
Leland dedicated his professional life to education as a high school English teacher, where he inspired countless students. He had a deep love of reading, being active in coaching youth sports, broadcasting sports games on Big Sioux Media and his enjoyment of building LEGO creations.
Leland will be remembered as a loving father, a dedicated teacher, and a caring sports coach for his sons. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
