Killer lawman, former mayor found guilty in triple homicide
Jay Ostrem had killed two, and blinded one as a SWAT officer
A former police officer and mayor of Centerville has been convicted of a triple homicide that took place in Centerville in 2024, the Attorney General’s Office announced Friday.
Jay Ostrem, 65, was found guilty Friday of three counts of first-degree murder. His sentencing is May 14, where he will face a maximum sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.
