Farmers, lenders saw bumper crops, low prices in 2025
Spring is on the way, but the message from the Minneapolis Fed’s latest Ag Credit Survey is “cold comfort.”
In its recently released fourth quarter survey of bankers in South Dakota and surrounding states, the regional bank found that a bumper 2025 harvest had put a big chill on prices.
That takes into account South Dakota’s first billion-bushel corn harvest in 2025 and cash corn prices that were struggling to reach $4 a bushel as of mid-March.
