John Thune endorses John Wiik in GOP chairman bid
With Thune endorsement, Wiik has almost every key elected Republican
State Sen. John Wiik secured the key endorsement of U.S. Sen. John Thune on Wednesday in his bid to be chairman of the South Dakota Republican Party.
Thune’s endorsement means that virtually all of the statewide elected Republicans are in Wiik’s camp.
The question, however, is whether this is another camp in the race. The vote for chairman is Jan. 14.
